In battle[]
If a Pokémon with Rough Skin takes damage from a move that makes contact, the attacker is dealt damage equal to 1/8 of the attacking Pokémon's maximum Template:Stat. The damage will repeat for multi-hit moves such as Fury Swipes and Double Kick.
If Rough Skin causes both the user and the attacker to faint, then the attacker will faint first.
Outside of battle[]
Rough Skin has no effect outside of battle.
